CeramicReliability.com presents information related to the challenges associated with designing brittle material systems and performing component reliability. Two software programs that aid in the design process are also supported here.

This project was initially funded through the Advanced Microturbine Program of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Distributed Energy (DE) Program.

    * The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Distributed Energy Program supports the development of the next generation of clean, efficient, reliable, and affordable distributed energy technologies and the integration of these technologies at end-user sites.

The continuation of this project is now supported through software use licenses.

Although the information presented herein was developed to support the DE Microturbine Participants, this information and the software programs supported here are also widely applicable to other industries that face the challenges associated with designing components with brittle material systems.
